About Us
The Nokomis Agricultural Society Inc. was organized in 1908 and has, since its early years, organized and presented an agricultural fair for the general public for most of the years of its existence. The Nokomis Agricultural Society Inc. is mandated to promote agriculture and rural living and that is accomplished through the presentation of the annual agricultural fair. The agricultural fair provides a social venue for the people of the community of Nokomis and the surrounding area to meet together and enjoy entertainment and activities that are not ordinarily available in our community.
The fair invites entrants to display their talents at various venues either for free or for a very nominal amount. All costs of presenting fair day activities are subsidized by the Nokomis Agricultural Society Inc. through fund-raising activities that occur at various points throughout the year. Entrants in all activities at the fair are awarded prizes for their participation in the venues that they participate in.
